When it comes to supporting the cable, there are many codes and rules you have to abide by, and we make sure we know them all before we even start the project. For instance, did you know that the safest way to not get in trouble on a plenum ceiling installation is to use metal fasteners and hooks? There are a lot of times when it is hard to tell if the space between the drop ceiling and hard deck is a plenum return for the HVAC system. When a fire occurs in the building, the fire melts away the jacket of the cable, thus exposing us to fumes, smoke, and other hazardous byproducts. The HVAC return takes in the smoke and distributes it to another section of the building until the duct detector on the fire system smells it, shuts it down, and sends the system into alarm for the fire department to be dispatched by the central station. We use plenum rated cable to reduce the amount of inhalation danger to the people we are trying to protect.

We use a few different manufacturers of cable, jacks, and panels. Some manufacturers have even formed alliances in their infrastructure products so that we can offer you a full system warranty from the manufacturers themselves, as well as a full infrastructure warranty with all certification results from Turnkey Enterprises.
